Jutta Brunnée holds the Metcalf Chair in Environmental Law and is the
Associate Dean (Graduate) in the Faculty of Law at the University of
Toronto. She has participated in numerous Canadian and international
initiatives related to environmental issues. Jutta's most recent book,
co-authored with S.J. Toope, is Legitimacy and Legality in International
Law: An Interactional Account (Cambridge University Press, 2010).
Marie-Claire Cordonier Segger is Director of the Centre for International
Sustainable Development Law (CISDL) in Montreal, Canada. She is a
Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of
Cambridge and serves on the World Future Council. Marie-Claire's scholar-
ship addresses sustainable development law and policy.
Emily Crawford is a post-doctoral fellow and associate at the Sydney
Centre for International Law (SCIL). She is the author of The Treatment of
Combatants and Insurgents under the Law of Armed Conflict (Oxford
University Press, 2010). Emily's current research looks at major develop-
ments in the conduct of armed conflicts in the 21st century, including cyber
warfare and targeted assassinations.
Alice Edwards is Senior Legal Coordinator and Chief of the Protection
Policy and Legal Advice Section within the Division of International
Protection at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees in Geneva. She is a Research Associate at the Refugee Studies
Centre, Oxford, Research Fellow of St Anne's College, Oxford and a
Fellow of the University of Nottingham's Human Rights Law Centre.
