FINANCIAL PROVISIONS

14.01 This chapter regulates the finances of both the Centre and the individual cases. Regula-
tions 14 through 16 focus on individual cases including the direct expenses incurred by
the proceedings, their payment as well as the payment of the lodging fee and any ad-
ditional services that may be required. Regulations 17 through 19 address the Centre's
budget, the assessment of the Contracting States' contributions to the Centre's expen-
ditures, as well as the audit of the Centre's accounts.




REGULATION 14 ­ DIRECT COSTS OF INDIVIDUAL PROCEEDINGS2

(1) Unless otherwise agreed pursuant to Article 60(2) of the Convention, and in ad-
dition to receiving reimbursement for any direct expenses reasonably incurred,
each member of a Commission, a Tribunal or an ad hoc Committee appointed
from the Panel of Arbitrators pursuant to Article 52(3) of the Convention
(hereinafter referred to as `Committee') shall receive:

(a) a fee for each day on which he participates in meetings of the body of which
he is a member;
(b) a fee for the equivalent of each eight-hour day of other work performed in
connection with the proceedings;
(c) in lieu of reimbursement of subsistence expenses when away from his nor-
mal place of residence, a per diem allowance based on the allowance estab-
lished from time to time for the Executive Directors of the Bank;
(d) travel expenses in connection with meetings of the body of which he ...
