HYDRO 2007, Australian Hydrographic Service Symposium and Ocean Mapping Group Multibeam Course

Organised by the Australasian Hydrographic Society and Australian Hydrographic Service.

The Australian Hydrographic Service “Symposium”, 19-21 November, and Australasian Hydrographic Society “Hydro” 2007, 22-24 November, will be held at the Cairns Convention Centre. These will be followed by an Ocean Mapping Group Multibeam Echosounder course at the Sheridan Plaza Hotel, 26 November to 1 December.

Marine Safety Conference 2008

The Marine Safety Conference 2008 will showcase the latest in national marine safety standards for commercial and recreational vessels. Coast to Coast 2008

Darwin Convention Centre, Darwin, Northern Territory

Coast to Coast is Australia’s biennial national coastal conference, and for the first time will be held in Darwin at the new world-class, Darwin Convention Centre. Coast to Coast 2008 serves to focus debate, discussion and learning across the full range of coastal and marine issues – at the national, state, regional and local level. Proposed themes include: Coastal Research & Planning for Climate Change; Catchment-to-Coast Planning; Coastal-Marine Biodiversity & Conservation Planning; Tropical Rivers & Coastal Wetlands; Monitoring Coastal, Estuarine & Marine Environments, and Coastal Capacity Building & Training.

Coast to Coast 2008 offers the opportunity to consider key coastal challenges and issues, to learn about new coastal initiatives and programs that tackle current and emerging issues, to attend workshops of special interest to coastal workers, and to meet the many professionals, specialists and people with an interest in the coast.
