(1) As soon as practicable, and, in any event, within 28 days, after the notification under the Legislation Act 2001
of a declaration under section 33 (1) (Acquisition by compulsory process) or a variation under section 40 (1) (Correction of compulsory acquisition declarations), the director-general shall cause to be lodged with the registrar-general a memorandum setting out particulars of the declaration, or of the variation, as the case may be.
(2) The registrar-general may—
(a) deal with and give effect to the declaration as if it were a grant, conveyance, or transfer of the acquired interest to the acquiring authority duly executed under the law in force in the ACT; and
(b) make such entries in the records kept by the
registrar-general as are necessary having regard to the effect of section 33
(5).
