(1) This section applies if, immediately before the commencement day, a person holds a permission to exhibit an advertisement or notice under the Roads and Public Places Act 1937
, section 12 (Exhibition of advertisements or notices).
(2) The permission is, on the commencement day, taken to be a sign approval—
(a) in the same terms as the permission; and
(b) subject to the same conditions as the permission.
(3) The sign approval—
(a) is taken to expire on the day stated in the permission; and
(b) must not be amended, transferred or renewed.
