I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Canberra Institute of the Arts Ordinance 1988
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Canberra Institute of the Arts (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.1
2. In this Ordinance, “Principal Ordinance” means the Canberra Institute of the Arts Ordinance 1988.2
3. Section 20 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by adding at the end the following subsection:
“(3) The Council may report in writing to the Minister on any matter relating to—
(a) the functions, or the performance of the functions, of the Council; or
(b) the functions, or the performance of the functions, of the Institute.”.
4. Section 38 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from paragraph (b) of the definition of “relevant enrolment” in subsection (1) all words after “where” and substituting “a fee of the kind referred to in paragraph 37 (2) (f) is imposed”.
5. The Principal Ordinance is amended as set out in the Schedule.
