Health Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 1986

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Health Authority Ordinance 1985

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Health Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 1986.1

Principal Ordinance

2. In this Ordinance, “Principal Ordinance” means the Health Authority Ordinance 1985.2

Repeal of sections 13, 22 and 34

3. Sections 13, 22, 34 of the Principal Ordinance are repealed.

4. Before section 79 of the Principal Ordinance the following section is inserted in Part IX:

Remuneration and allowances

“78A. (1) The members of the Authority and the members of a Board shall be paid such remuneration as is determined by the Remuneration Tribunal but, if no determination of that remuneration by the Tribunal is in force, the members of the Authority and the members of a Board shall be paid such remuneration as is prescribed.

“(2) The members of the Authority and the members of a Board shall be paid such allowances as are prescribed.

“(3) This section has effect subject to the Remuneration Tribunals Act 1973.”.
