An Ordinance to amend the Stamp Duties and Taxes Ordinance 1987

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Stamp Duties and Taxes (Amendment) Ordinance 1987.¹

Principal Ordinance

2. In this Ordinance, “Principal Ordinance” means the Stamp Duties and Taxes Ordinance 1987.²

Chattels included in conveyance of Crown lease

3. Section 19 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from subsection (1) all the words from and including “of land” to and including “only”.

Schedule 1

4. Schedule 1 to the Principal Ordinance is amended:

(a) by omitting from paragraph (m) “under the Australian Capital Territory Rental Housing Scheme” and substituting “to the Australian Capital Territory Commissioner for Housing”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (m) “or”; and

(c) by adding at the end the following word and paragraph:

“; or (o) to a prescribed person.”.
