DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND PROTECTION ORDERS REGULATION 2002 (REPEALED) - REG 10

Hearings usually in public

    (1)     The hearing of a proceeding before the Magistrates Court must be in public.

    (2)     This section does not apply to a hearing, or part of a hearing, if—

        (a)     section 11 applies to the hearing, or part; or

        (b)     the magistrate presiding at the hearing makes an order under section 12 (Closed hearings in special circumstances).
