Liability of bailiffs

A bailiff who executes a writ of execution is responsible to the parties to the proceedings in relation to which the writ was issued for all the acts and omissions of the bailiff, and any person assisting the bailiff, in executing that writ in the same way as the sheriff is responsible for all the acts and omissions of the sheriff, and any person assisting the sheriff, in executing a writ of fieri facias.
