ROAD TRANSPORT (SAFETY AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) REGULATION 2000 (REPEALED) - REG 16

ARR r 207 (2) (a)—fees for parking in pay parking spaces

    (1)     For the title="ARRs">Australian Road Rules

, rule 207 (2) (a), if a permissive parking sign applies to a length of road or area that is (or is part of) a pay parking area, the relevant parking fee is payable for parking in a pay parking space on the road or in the area.

    (2)     For this section, the relevant parking fee does not become payable under subsection (1) until immediately after a vehicle is parked in the pay parking space concerned.

Note     Pt 3.1 of this regulation makes provision for the administration of pay parking schemes (including the designation of pay parking areas by the erection of permissive parking signs and the fixing of fees).
