The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Health Legislation (Powers of
Investigation) Amendment Act 1996.
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act commences on the day on which it
receives the Royal Assent.
(2) If this Act does not receive the Royal Assent before 1 July 1996, it
is taken to have commenced on 30 June 1996.

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to
this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the
Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect
according to its terms.

Amendment Act 1994
1 Section 2
Repeal the section.
Note: This amendment ensures that the sunset clause in the
Act never comes into effect.
Human Services and Health Legislation
Amendment Act (No. 3) 1995
