ABORIGINAL LAND GRANT (JERVIS BAY TERRITORY) ACT 1986 No. 164 of 1986 - SECT 34

34. (1) The Chairperson-

   (a)  may, at any time, convene a meeting of the executive committee; and

   (b)  shall, on receipt of a written request signed by not fewer than 4
        other executive members, convene a meeting of the executive committee.

(2) The Minister may, at any time, convene a meeting of the executive
committee.

(3) The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the executive committee
at which he or she is present.

(4) Where the Chairperson is not present at a meeting of the executive
committee-

   (a)  the Deputy Chairperson shall preside at the meeting; or

   (b)  if the Deputy Chairperson is not present at the meeting-the executive
        members present shall appoint one of their number to preside at the
        meeting.

(5) At a meeting of the executive committee, 5 executive members constitute a
quorum.

(6) Questions arising at a meeting of the executive committee shall be
determined by a majority of the votes of the executive members present and
voting and the person presiding at the meeting has a deliberative vote and, in
the case of an equality of votes, also has a casting vote.
