ABORIGINAL LAND RIGHTS (NORTHERN TERRITORY) AMENDMENT ACT 1978 No. 21 of 1978 - SECT 23

23. Section 65 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting paragraph (b) of sub-section (2) and substituting the
        following paragraph:

''(b) members elected by each Land Council.''; and

   (b)  by inserting after sub-section (2) the following sub-section:

''(2A) For the purposes of paragraph 2 (b), the Minister may, from time to
time, fix the number of members to be elected by a Land Council having regard
to the number of Aboriginals living in the area of that Land Council.''.
