AUSTRALIAN TRADE COMMISSION (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) ACT 1985 No. 187 of 1985 - SECT 52

52. Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended -
(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) "Commissioner or an Assistant Trade
Commissioner" and substituting "Representative"; and

   (b)  by omitting sub-section (2) and substituting the following subsection:

"(2) A Trade Representative shall be deemed to have vacated his or her office
if he or she becomes bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of any law for the
relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his or her creditors
or makes an assignment of his or her remuneration for their benefit.".
