COMPANIES ACT 1981 No. 89 of 1981 - SECT 258

258. Where, by virtue of paragraph 547 (1) (b), the register of members is
kept at the office of a person other than the company, and by reason of any
default of that other person, the company fails to comply with section 257 or
sub-section 547 (1) or (4) or with any requirements of this Act as to the
production of the register, that other person is liable to the same penalties
as if he were an officer of the company who was in default, and the power of
the Court under section 551 extends to the making of orders against that other
person and his officers and servants.
