CHILD SUPPORT (ASSESSMENT) ACT 1989 No. 124 of 1989 - SECT 26

Persons from whom child support may be sought 
26. Application may be made to the Registrar for administrative assessment of
child support for a child only if the application seeks payment of the
child support from a person who is:

   (a)  a parent of the child; and

   (b)  a resident of Australia on the day on which the application is made.
