COMMUNITY SERVICES AND HEALTH LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1989 No. 95 of 1989 - SECT 9

9. (1) Section 3B of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by omitting from paragraph (5) (b) "an application in writing is made to
him" and substituting "receiving from the Private Health Insurance
Administration Council a copy of an application in writing made to it";

   (b)  by omitting subsection (8) and substituting the following subsection:

"(8) The Secretary may establish a Committee or Committees to be known as the
Acute Care Advisory Committee or the Acute Care Advisory Committees.".

(2) Notwithstanding the amendments made by this section, an Acute Care
Advisory Committee reviewing a certificate on the commencement of this section
shall continue the review as if the amendment had not been made.
