Plans under the Fisheries Management Act 1991
- (1)
- Before the Australian
Fisheries Management Authority determines a plan of management for a fishery
under section 17 of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 , the Authority must:
- (a)
- make an agreement with the Minister under section 146 for assessment of
the relevant impacts of actions under the plan; and
- (b)
- consider any recommendations made by the Minister under the agreement.
Plans under the Torres Strait Fisheries Act 1984
- (2)
- Before the Minister
administering the Torres Strait Fisheries Act 1984 determines a plan of
management for a fishery under section 15A of that Act, he or she must:
- (a)
- make an agreement under section 146 with the Minister (the Environment
Minister ) administering this section for assessment of the relevant impacts
of actions under the plan; and
- (b)
- consider any recommendations made by the Environment Minister under the
agreement.
