HEALTH LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1985 No. 167 of 1985 - SECT 10

10. Section 19 of the Principal Act is amended -

   (a)  by omitting from sub-paragraph (1) (b) (iii) "and" (last occurring);

   (b)  by inserting after sub-paragraph (1) (b) (iii) the following
        subparagraph:

"(iiia) to co-operate with a government or organisation, whether
Australian or foreign, or an international organisation, in
respect of research relating to, production of, or prescribed
operations relating to, pharmaceutical products; and";

   (c)  by omitting paragraph (1) (c) and substituting the following
        paragraph:

"(c) to provide technical assistance to foreign governments and
organisations, and to international organisations, in respect
of matters relating to pharmaceutical products;"; and

   (d)  by adding at the end of sub-section (1) the following word and
        paragraph:

"; and (e) where it would not prejudice or interfere with the
performance of any of the functions referred to in
paragraphs (a), (b), (c) and (d), to use facilities and
resources of the Commission to the commercial
advantage of the Commission at any time when those
facilities and resources are not being used to perform
any of the functions referred to in paragraphs (a),

   (b)  , (c) and (d).".
