HORTICULTURAL POLICY COUNCIL ACT 1987 No. 167 of 1987 - SECT 22
Meetings
22. (1) Subject to subsection (2), meetings of the Council shall be held at
such times and places as the Council from time to time determines.
(2) The Chairperson may at any time convene a meeting of the Council.
(3) The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Council at which the
Chairperson is present.
(4) If the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson are not present at a meeting of
the Council, the members present shall appoint one of their number to preside
at the meeting.
(5) At a meeting of the Council:
(a) 8 members (of whom at least 2 are members referred to in paragraph 9
(1) (b), and at least one is a member referred to in paragraph 9 (1)
(c), (d) or (g)) constitute a quorum;
(b) a question shall be decided by a majority of the votes of the members
present and voting; and
(c) the member presiding has a deliberative vote and, in the event of an
equality of votes, also has a casting vote.
(6) The Council shall keep minutes of its proceedings.
(7) The Council may invite a person to attend a meeting for the purpose of
advising or informing it on any matter.
