LIFE INSURANCE ACT 1995 No. 4 of 1995 - SECT 89

89. (1) This section applies to a person who is, or has been, the auditor of a
life company.

(2) A person to whom this section applies has qualified privilege in respect
of:

   (a)  any statement, written or oral, made by him or her under, or for the
        purposes of, a provision of this Act; and

   (b)  the answer to any question he or she is required by the audit
        committee of the life company to answer.

(3) The privilege conferred by this section is in addition to any privilege
conferred on a person by the Corporations Law of a State or internal
Territory.
