MEDICARE LEVY ACT 1984 No. 101, 1984 - SECT 12

12. (1) The levy imposed by this Act is levied, and shall be paid, for the
financial year that commenced on 1 July 1984.

(2) Until the Parliament otherwise provides, the levy imposed by this Act is
also levied, and shall be paid, for the financial year commencing on 1 July
1985.

(3) For the purposes of its application in accordance with sub-section (2),
this Act has effect as if-

   (a)  references in section 8 to $733.32 were references to $750;

   (b)  the reference in section 8 to $73,332 were a reference to $75,000; and

   (c)  references in section 8 to $366.66 were references to $375.
