MEDICARE LEVY ACT 1984 No. 101, 1984 - SECT 7

7. (1) Where the taxable income of a person does not exceed $7,110, no levy is
payable by the person upon that taxable income.

(2) Where the taxable income of a person exceeds $7,110 but does not exceed
$7,484 the amount of levy payable by the person upon that taxable income but
for sections 9 and 10 shall not exceed 20% of the amount of the excess.
