NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMISSION ACT 1985 No. 35, 1985 - SECT 18

18. (1) A part-time member is not entitled to remuneration.

(2) The regulations may provide for the payment to all or any of the
part-time members (other than a member who is a member of, or is a candidate
for election to, the Parliament of the Commonwealth or of the Parliament of a
State) of allowances for expenses.

(3) A part-time member who is a member of, or is a candidate for election to,
the Parliament of the Commonwealth or the Parliament of a State shall be
reimbursed such expenses as the member reasonably incurs by reason of the
member's attendance at meetings of the Commission or of the member's
engagement, with the approval of the Commission, on the affairs of the
Commission.

(4) A reference in this section to a part-time member includes a reference to
an alternate of a part-time member.
