REPATRIATION ACTS AMENDMENT ACT 1974 No. 90, 1974 - SECT 42

42. Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended-

(a) by omitting from sub-section (4A) the words "Eighty-two dollars ten cents"
and substituting the symbol and figures "$89.10"; and

   (b)  by omitting sub-sections (7) and (8) and substituting the following
        sub-sections:-



"(7) The rate of pension payable to children of an Australian mariner is-

   (a)  in the case of his death-$20.90 per fortnight in respect of each
        child; or

   (b)  in the case of his total incapacity-$2.75 per fortnight in respect of
        each child.



"(8) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (7), where the mother
of the children of a deceased Australian mariner is dead, the rate of pension
payable in respect of each of those children is $41.80 per fortnight.".
