RESOURCE ASSESSMENT COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 94, 1989 - SECT 39

39. (1) The Prime Minister may, for the purpose of the appointment as a
Commissioner of a person who is a Judge of a State or of the Northern
Territory, enter into such arrangement with the Premier of the State or the
Chief Minister of the Territory, as the case may be, as is necessary to secure
that person's services.

(2) The arrangement may provide for the Commonwealth to reimburse the State or
the Territory with respect to the services of the person to whom the
arrangement relates.
