ROYAL COMMISSIONS AMENDMENT ACT 1982 No. 139, 1982 - SECT 5

Penalty for refusing to be sworn or to give evidence


5. Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting ''Penalty: One thousand dollars.''; and

   (b)  by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section:

''(2) The penalty for an offence under sub-section (1) is a fine not exceeding
$1,000 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 6 months.''.
