SUPERANNUATION ACTS AMENDMENT ACT 1978 No. 17, 1978 - SECT 29

29. Section 55 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting from sub-section (2) ''or retirement on the ground of
        invalidity'';

   (b)  by omitting from sub-section (2) ''sub-section (3)'' and substituting
        ''sub-sections (2A) and (3)''; and

   (c)  by inserting after sub-section (2) the following sub-section:

''(2A) Sub-section (2) does not apply to a person who ceases to be an
eligible employee by reason of retirement on the ground of invalidity unless
at the time that he ceases to be an eligible employee he has attained his
maximum retiring age.''.
