SOCIAL SECURITY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1982 No. 98, 1982 - SECT 9

9. Section 38 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (3) and
substituting the following sub-section:

''(3) Part VIII of the Social Security Act 1947 applies, so far as it is
capable of application, in relation to a person who is receiving vocational
training in pursuance of this section as if he were an invalid pensioner under
Part III of that Act and a person referred to in paragraph 135 (1) (a) of that
Act but he is not entitled to receive any amount per week under that Part of
that Act except to the extent that that amount per week exceeds the amount per
week of the compensation payable to him under sub-section (5) of this
section.''.
