SOCIAL SECURITY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1993 No. 36, 1993 - SECT 67

67. Section 538 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by inserting after paragraph (f) the following word and paragraph:

"; or (g) the following conditions apply:

        (i)    the person undertakes a LEAP program;

        (ii)   immediately before undertaking the program, the person was
               receiving a social security pension or benefit;

        (iii)  the person completes the program;

        (iv)   immediately after completing the program, the person is
               qualified for job search allowance;

        (v)    the person claims job search allowance within 14 days after the
               day on which the person completes the program.";

   (b)  by adding at the end the following Note:

"Note 7: For 'LEAP program' see subsection 23(1).".
