TAXATION LAWS AMENDMENT ACT (No. 3) 1992No. 98, 1992 - SECT 29

29. Section 82KH of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by inserting in subsection (1AA) ", or a part of a debt," after "to a
debt";

   (b)  by inserting after subsection (1AB) the following subsection:

"(1ABA) This section has the same effect in relation to an allowable deduction
under section 63E in respect of the extinguishing of the whole or part of a
debt as it has in respect of an allowable deduction under section 51 or 63 in
respect of the writing off of the whole or part of a debt as bad.".
