TRADE UNION TRAINING AUTHORITY AMENDMENT ACT 1978 No. 92 of 1978 - SECT 22

22. Section 53 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting sub-section (1) and substituting the following
        sub-section:

''(1) A council may appoint 3 or more persons, being persons each of whom is
either a member of the council or a deputy member of the council, to be a
committee of the council, and may appoint a member of the council or a deputy
member of the council to fill a vacancy among the members of the committee.'';
and

   (b)  by omitting paragraph (b) of sub-section (2) and substituting the
        following paragraph:

''(b) ceases to hold office if he ceases to be a member or deputy member of
the council; and''.
