VETERANS' AFFAIRS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1987 No. 78 of 1987 - SECT 19

Right to be paid service pension outside Australia

19. Section 63 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by omitting from subsection (4) "(excluding any rent assistance for
        which the person is eligible)"; and

   (b)  by inserting after subsection (5) the following subsection: "(5A)
        Nothing in this section shall be taken to entitle a person to be paid
        a service pension at a rate increased by virtue of section 55 at any
        time while the person is not physically present in Australia.".
