1985 No. 114 DEFENCE (INQUIRY) REGULATIONS - REG 61

Protection of Courts of Inquiry
61. (1) Each member of, or the person constituting, as the case may be, a
Court of Inquiry and each assessor of a General Court of Inquiry has, in the
exercise of the duties of that person, the same protection and immunity as a
Justice of the High Court.

(2) A person authorized to appear before a Court of Inquiry, or a lawyer
assisting a Court of Inquiry, has the same protection and immunity as a
barrister appearing for a party in proceedings in the High Court.

(3) A witness appearing before a Court of Inquiry has the same protection as a
witness in proceedings in the High Court.
