[Assented to 12 June 2007] Commission for Children and Young People Amendment (Parliamentary Section 1 Joint Committee) Act 2007 No 4 The Legislature of New South Wales enacts: 1 Name of Act This Act is the Commission for Children and Young People Amendment (Parliamentary Joint Committee) Act 2007. 2 Commencement This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act. 3 Amendment of Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998 No 146 The Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998 is amended as set out in Schedule 1. 4 Repeal of Act (1) This Act is repealed on the day following the day on which this Act commences. (2) The repeal of this Act does not, because of the operation of section 30 of the Interpretation Act 1987, affect any amendment made by this Act. Page 2 Commission for Children and Young People Amendment (Parliamentary Joint Committee) Act 2007 No 4 Amendments Schedule 1 Schedule 1 Amendments (Section 3) [1] Section 29 Membership of Committee Omit section 29 (1). Insert instead: (1) The Parliamentary Joint Committee is to consist of 7 members, of whom: (a) 3 are to be members of, and appointed by, the Legislative Council, and (b) 4 are to be members of, and appointed by, the Legislative Assembly. [2] Schedule 1 Parliamentary Joint Committee Omit "6 members constitute a quorum" from clause 3 (3). Insert instead "4 members constitute a quorum".
