Community Relations Commission and Principles of Multiculturalism Clause 1 Amendment Bill 2003 The Legislature of New South Wales enacts: 1 Name of Act This Act is the Community Relations Commission and Principles of Multiculturalism Amendment Act 2003. 2 Commencement This Act commences on the date of assent. 3 Amendment of Community Relations Commission and Principles of Multiculturalism Act 2000 No 77 The Community Relations Commission and Principles of Multiculturalism Act 2000 is amended as set out in Schedules 1 and 2. Page 2 Community Relations Commission and Principles of Multiculturalism Amendment Bill 2003 Principal amendments Schedule 1 Schedule 1 Principal amendments (Section 3) [1] Section 7 Membership and procedure of Commission Omit "9" from section 7 (1). Insert instead "11". [2] Section 7 (1A) Insert after section 7 (1): (1A) Of the part-time commissioners, 2 are to be persons who are appointed as representatives of youth from New South Wales and who are not less than 18 years of age and not more than 24 years of age at the time of their appointment. [3] Section 13 Functions of Commission Insert "(whether within or outside New South Wales)" after "provide" in section 13 (i).
