Trust to include an Aboriginal person; and for other purposes.

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts--
1 Name of Act
This Act is the Environmental Trust Amendment Act 2024.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act.

[1] Section 3 Definitions
Insert in alphabetical order--
Aboriginal person has the same meaning as in the Aboriginal Land Rights Act
1983.
[2] Section 6 Membership and procedure of Trust
Omit "5" from section 6(1). Insert instead "6".
[3] Section 6(2)(c)
Omit the paragraph. Insert instead--
(c) the Secretary of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the
Environment and Water, and
[4] Section 6(2)(f)
Omit "Wales." from section 6(2)(e). Insert instead--
Wales, and
(f) an Aboriginal person appointed by the Minister.
[5] Schedule 1 Provisions relating to members and procedure of Trust
Omit "or (e)" from clause 1, definition of appointed member. Insert instead ", (e) or (f)".
