A Bill for

An Act to amend the Local Government Act 1993 to provide for the confiscation of
alcohol in alcohol prohibited areas.
Clause 1      Local Government Amendment (Confiscation of Alcohol) Bill 2010




The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:                                            1

 1    Name of Act                                                                     2

           This Act is the Local Government Amendment (Confiscation of                3
           Alcohol) Act 2010.                                                         4

 2    Commencement                                                                    5

           This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act.                      6

 3    Amendment of Local Government Act 1993 No 30                                    7
           Section 632A Confiscation of alcohol in alcohol prohibited areas           8

           Omit the definition of alcohol prohibited area in section 632A (4).        9

           Insert instead:                                                           10
                         alcohol prohibited area means a public place in which the   11
                         drinking of alcohol is prohibited by a notice under         12
                         section 632.                                                13
