A n A c t to make further provision for t h e nomina tion, election and appointment of t h e Public A c c o u n t s C o m m i t t e e ; to enable that Com mittee to be nominated, elected and appointed for t h e t w e n t y - s e v e n t h P a r l i a m e n t ; to amend the Audit Act, 1902 ; and for purposes con nected therewith. [Assented to, 2nd December, 1925.] E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South. Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows :--
1 . This Act may be cited as the " Audit Amendment (Public Accounts Committee) Act, 1925." 2. The Audit Act, 1902, is amended by omitting subsection nine of section sixteen and by inserting in lieu thereof the following new subsection:-- (9) Where the first session of any Parliament has expired within thirty days of its commencement without a committee having been appointed the nomination, election and appointment of the com mittee shall take place in the manner aforesaid within thirty days after the next meeting of Parliament.

The nomination, election and appointment of the members of the Public Accounts Committee lor th»e present (twenty-seventh) Parliament may, notwithstanding any tiling in the Audit Act, 1902, as amended by this Act, be made and held under and in the maimer 'prescribed by the said Act within thirty days from the commencement of this Act.
