H E R E A S we Y o u r Majesty's m o s t dutiful a n d loyal subjects t h e M e m b e r s of t h e Legislative Assembly of N e w South W a l e s i n P a r l i a m e n t assembled h a v e resolved to g r a n t to Y o u r Majesty t h e s u m of Two h u n d r e d a n d t h i r t e e n t h o u s a n d n i n e h u n d r e d a n d t h i r t y n i n e p o u n d s t h a t is to s a y -- T h e s u m of One h u n d r e d a n d fifty-three t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d a n d t h i r t y - n i n e p o u n d s b e i n g t h e s u m required to defray t h e expenses of t h e various D e p a r t m e n t s a n d Services of t h e Colony from first to thirty-first J a n u a r y one t h o u s a n d eight h u n d r e d a n d seventy-four a n d T h e s u m of Sixty t h o u s a n d pounds to enable t h e T r e a s u r e r t o m a k e Advances to P u b l i c Officers a n d on a c c o u n t of o t h e r G o v e r n m e n t s a n d to p a y expenses of a n unforeseen n a t u r e w h i c h will afterwards be submitted for P a r l i a m e n t a r y appro p r i a t i o n -- t h e whole a m o u n t t o be adjusted n o t later t h a n thirty-first D e c e m b e r one t h o u s a n d eight h u n d r e d a n d seventyfive A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good o u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w S o u t h W a l e s t h e s u m s so g r a n t e d to H e r Majesty Be it therefore enacted by t h e Q u e e n ' s M o s t E x c e l l e n t Majesty b y a n d w i t h t h e advice a n d consent of t h e Legislative Council a n d Legislative A s s e m b l y of N e w S o u t h W a l e s i n P a r l i a m e n t assembled a n d b y t h e a u t h o r i t y of t h e same as follows :-- 1. O u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w S o u t h W a l e s t h e r e shall a n d m a y be issued a n d applied for or t o w a r d s m a k i n g good t h e supplies so resolved to be g r a n t e d t o H e r Majesty for t h e said several services t h e s u m of Two h u n d r e d a n d t h i r t e e n t h o u s a n d n i n e h u n d r e d a n d t h i r t y - n i n e p o u n d s of w h i c h t h e s u m of O n e h u n d r e d and

a n d fifty-three t h o u s a n d n i n e h u n d r e d a n d t h i r t y - n i n e p o u n d s is t o h e e x p e n d e d a t t h e rates w h i c h h a v e been sanctioned for t h e y e a r o n e t h o u s a n d eight h u n d r e d a n d seventy-three subject to t h e r a t e of a n y r e d u c t i o n t h a t m a y hereafter be m a d e in t h e e x p e n d i t u r e of t h e year one t h o u s a n d eight h u n d r e d a n d seventy-four a n d Sixty t h o u s a n d p o u n d s t o b e a d v a n c e d t o t h e T r e a s u r e r to enable h i m t o m a k e A d v a n c e s to P u b l i c Officers a n d on a c c o u n t of o t h e r G o v e r n m e n t s a n d t o p a y expenses of a n unforeseen n a t u r e t o b e afterwards s u b m i t t e d for P a r l i a m e n t a r y appropriation t h e whole a m o u n t to b e adjusted n o t later t h a n t h e thirty-first day of D e c e m b e r one t h o u s a n d eight h u n d r e d a n d seventy-five. 2. T h e Treasurer shall issue a n d p a y t h e said s u m for t h e services aforesaid in such m a n n e r a n d in such proportions as t h e Governor b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in w r i t i n g u n d e r his h a n d a n d directed to t h e said T r e a s u r e r shall from t i m e t o t i m e order a n d direct A n d t h e p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shall be c h a r g e d u p o n a n d p a y a b l e o u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of t h e Colony. 3. T h e T r e a s u r e r shall i n his accounts from t i m e to t i m e be allowed credit for all sums of m o n e y paid b y h i m i n p u r s u a n c e of s u c h W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d t h e receipts of t h e respective persons to w h o m t h e same shall be so p a i d shall b e full a n d valid discharges t o t h e said T r e a s u r e r in passing his said accounts for such s u m s as shall be t h e r e i n m e n t i o n e d a n d h e shall receive credit for t h e same accordingly.
