HUNTER DISTRICT WATER, SEWERAGE AND DRAINAGE (PRESIDENT) ACT. Act No. 19, 1962. An Act to make provision whereby the present President of the Hunter District Water Board may be continued in office for a certain period as President of that Board; for this purpose to amend the Hunter District Water, Sewerage and Drainage Act, 1938, as amended by subsequent Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. T>E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by ·*-* and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : -- 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Hunter District Water, Sewerage and Drainage (President) Act, 1962". (2) This Act shall be deemed to have commenced upon the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-two. 2. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Hunter District Water, Sewerage and Drainage Act, 1938, as amended by subsequent Acts, The Honourable Francis Joseph Finnan may, upon the expiration, by effluxion of time, of the term of office which he holds at the commencement of this Act as President of the Hunter District Water Board, be re-appointed as such President from time to time. For the purposes of this section the Hunter District Water, Sewerage and Drainage Act, 1938, as amended by subsequent Acts, shall be deemed to be amended by omitting from paragraph (j) of section sixteen the words "sixty-five years" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "sixty-seven years".
