A n Act to extend t h e period for t h e p a y m e n t of t h e L a n d T a x for t h e y e a r 1896.' [16*7* November, 1896.]
E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with t h e advice a n d c o n s e n t of t h e Legislative C o u n c i l a n d Legislative A s s e m b l y of N e w S o u t h W a l e s i n P a r l i a m e n t assembled, a n d b y t h e a u t h o r i t y of t h e same, as follows :-- 1. For a n d i n respect, of t h e p a y m e n t w i t h o u t fine of a m o u n t s p a y a b l e for l a n d t a x for t h e y e a r one t h o u s a n d e i g h t h u n d r e d a n d n i n e t y - s i x , t h e period of sixty days prescribed in section forty-eight of t h e L a n d a n d I n c o m e T a x Assessment A c t of 1895 is h e r e b y e x t e n d e d t o n i n e t y clear d a y s after t h e same has become p a y a b l e in t h e case of l a n d s s i t u a t e w i t h i n t h e c o u n t y of C u m b e r l a n d , a n d is h e r e b y e x t e n d e d to one h u n d r e d a n d t w e n t y clear d a y s after t h e same has b e c o m e p a y a b l e in t h e case of l a n d s s i t u a t e outside t h e said c o u n t y of C u m b e r l a n d . A n d for a n d i n respect of t h e proceedings for recovery of a m o u n t s p a y a b l e for land tax for t h e y e a r one t h o u s a n d eight h u n d r e d a n d ninety-six, t h e period of sixty days m e n t i o n e d in section fifty of t h e said A c t is also e x t e n d e d to n i n e t y days in t h e f o r m e r case a n d t o one h u n d r e d a n d t w e n t y days i n t h e l a t t e r . 2. This A c t m a y b e cited as t h e " L a n d a n d I n c o m e T a x ( A m e n d m e n t ) Act, 1 8 9 6 . "
