Act No. 20, 1947.
An Act to apply certain sums out of the Consoli dated Revenue Fund, the Government Railways Fund, the Road Transport and Traffic Fund, the Metropolitan Transport Trust General Fund, the Newcastle and District Transport Trust General Fund, and the Sydney Harbour Trust Fund, towards the services of the Year 1947-1948. H E R E A S we Y o u r M a j e s t y ' s m o s t dutiful a n d loyal subjects, the M e m b e r s of the Legislative Assembly of New S o u t h W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, h a v e resolved to g r a n t to y o u r Majesty the sum of F i v e millions f o u r h u n d r e d a n d forty-one t h o u s a n d s i s h u n d r e d p o u n d s , t h a t is to s a y -- Out of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d , the sum of Two millions two h u n d r e d a n d eighty-six t h o u s a n d t h r e e h u n d r e d p o u n d s , being the sum r e q u i r e d to d e f r a y the expenses of the v a r i o u s D e p a r t m e n t s a n d Services of the S t a t e d u r i n g the m o n t h of December or following m o n t h of the financial y e a r ending t h i r t i e t h d a y of J u n e , one t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d a n d forty-eight. T h e T r e a s u r e r shall issue a n d p a y the said sums for the Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r a n d in such p r o p o r t i o n s as the Governor, by W a r r a n t s or O r d e r s in w r i t i n g u n d e r his h a n d , a n d directed to the said T r e a s u r e r , shall from time to time o r d e r a n d direct. A n d the p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shall be c h a r g e d u p o n a n d p a i d out of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d , the Government R a i l w a y s F u n d , the R o a d T r a n s p o r t a n d Traffic F u n d , the M e t r o p o l i t a n T r a n s p o r t T r u s t General F u n d , the Newcastle a n d D i s t r i c t T r a n s p o r t T r u s t General F u n d , a n d the S y d n e y H a r b o u r T r u s t F u n d , respectively. 8. T h e T r e a s u r e r shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for all sums of money p a i d b y h i m in p u r s u a n c e of such W a r r a n t s or O r d e r s . A n d the receipts of the respective p e r s o n s to whom the same shall be so p a i d shall be full a n d valid d i s c h a r g e s to t h e said T r e a s u r e r in p a s s i n g his said accounts for such sums a s shall be t h e r e i n mentioned, a n d he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 9. T h i s Act may be cited as the " S u p p l y A c t (No. 2 ) , 1947."
