STATUTORY SALARIES ADJUSTMENT ACT. ANNO VICESIMO ELIZABETHE II REGINE Act No. 54, 1971. A n A c t to increase the salaries of the J u d g e s of the S u p r e m e C o u r t and District C o u r t s a n d of certain other J u d g e s a n d of the holders of certain other statutory offices; for this a n d other p u r p o s e s to a m e n d the C o n s t i t u t i o n Act, 1902, the S u p r e m e C o u r t a n d Circuit C o u r t s A c t , 1900, the District C o u r t s A c t , 1912, the Public Service Act, 1902, the Western L a n d s A c t o f 1901, the V a l u a t i o n of L a n d Act, 1916, the Industrial A r b i t r a t i o n A c t , 1940, a n d certain other A c t s in certain r e s p e c t s ; to repeal the S t a t u t o r y S a l a r i e s A d j u s t m e n t Act, 1970; to validate certain m a t t e r s ; a n d for p u r p o s e s connected therewith. [Assented to, 14th D e c e m b e r , 1971.] BE B E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows i-- 1. This Act may be cited as the "Statutory Salaries Adjustment Act, 1971". 2. The salary payable to the holder of an office specified in the first column of the First Schedule to this Act pursuant to the enactment specified opposite that office in the second column of that Schedule-- ( a ) shall be deemed, as on and from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventyone and up to and including the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-one, to have been increased to the amount specified opposite that office in the third column of that Schedule; ( b ) shall be deemed, as on and from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-one, to have been increased and is, up to and including the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-one, hereby increased to the amount specified opposite that office in the fourth column of that Schedule; and ( c ) is, as on and from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-two, hereby increased to the amount specified opposite that office in the fifth column of that Schedule. 3. The holder of an office specified in the first column of the Second Schedule to this Act shall, as on and from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventytwo, be entitled to receive an allowance for special expenses incurred by him in the capacity of holder of the particular office at the annual rate specified opposite that office in the second column of that Schedule. 4. The Statutory Salaries Adjustment Act, 1970, is hereby repealed.
