1993--No. 58 PETROLEUM PRODUCTS SUBSIDY ACT 1965-- REGULATION (Petroleum Products Subsidy Regulation 1993) NEW SOUTH WALES [Published in Gazette No. 17 of 19 February 1993] HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Petroleum Products Subsidy Act 1965, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder. GEORGE SOURIS, for Premier and Treasurer Citation 1. This Regulation may be cited as the Petroleum Products Subsidy Regulation 1993. Claims for payments 2. (1) For the purposes of section 7 of the Petroleum Products Subsidy Act 1965, a claim for a payment under that Act: (a) must be made in the form made available for that purpose at the appropriate Commonwealth Customs Office; and (b) must include such information as that form requires; and (c) must be signed by the registered distributor by whom the claim is made or by some other person authorised by the registered distributor to sign the claim; and (d) must be accompanied by a summary of the sales of eligible petroleum products to which the claim relates; and (e) must be posted to, or lodged at, the appropriate Commonwealth Customs Office. 2 1993--No. 58 (2) In this clause, "appropriate Commonwealth Customs Office" means the office of the Collector of Customs, Australian Customs Service, in the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Technology and Commerce. Repeal EXPLANATORY NOTE The object of this Regulation is to repeal and remake, without any substantive changes, the provisions of the Petroleum Products Subsidy Regulations 1965. The Regulation, which is of a machinery nature, prescribes the manner and form in which applications are to be made for payments under the Petroleum Products Subsidy Act 1965. This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
