The Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1987 is amended by omitting item 8 from the Table to clause 9A and by inserting instead the following items: 8. On and after 1 October 1991 .............................. $339.00 $341.30 2 1991--No. 498 EXPLANATORY NOTE The Workers Compensation Act 1987 provides for the weekly payment of compensation by an employer to an injured worker who is incapacitated for work at the worker's current weekly wage rate. The weekly payment during the first 26 weeks of incapacity is, where the worker is an employee of the Crown or covered by an award, the worker's weekly wage rate. For other workers, the rate is that prescribed by regulation. The object of this Regulation is to increase, from 1 October 1991, the current weekly wage rate prescribed for those other workers.
