1995--No. 269 STOCK FOODS ACT 1940--REGULATION (Relating to the standard for residues in stock feed) NEW SOUTH WALES [Published in Gazette No. 79 of 30 June 1995] HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Stock Foods Act 1940, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder. R. S. Amery Minister for Agriculture. Commencement 1. This Regulation commences on 30 June 1995. Amendment 2. The Stock Foods Regulation 1992 is amended by omitting clause 11 (5) and by inserting instead the following subclause: (5) The Commonwealth Standard referred to in subclause (4) is the standard having the title "MRL Standard--Maximum residue limits in food and animal feedstuffs of pesticides, agricultural chemicals, feed additives and veterinary medicines", prepared by the National Health and Medical Research Council and published by the Australian Government Publishing Service in Canberra in 1993. EXPLANATORY NOTE The object of this Regulation is to update the reference in clause 11 of the Stock Foods Regulation 1992 to the Commonwealth Standard for maximum residue limits that are permitted in stock foods. This Regulation is made under section 7 (Foreign ingredients) of the Stock Foods Act 1940 and the general regulation-making power in section 35 of that Act (in particular, section 35 (2) (b)).
