I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 24 February 1992 as the day on which the amendments to the Judges' Pensions Act 1953 set out in that Schedule commence. EXPLANATORY NOTE The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Judges' Pensions Act 1953 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991 which provide that any period served by a judge in any office in which he or she can accrue entitlements under a judges' pension scheme in another State, the Commonwealth or a Territory is calculated as part of the judge's Service in the judicial office he or she held immediately before retirement.
