New South Wales Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Regulation 2015 under the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Act 2004 His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Act 2004. TROY GRANT, MP Minister for Justice and Police Explanatory note The object of this Regulation is to remake, without substantive changes, the provisions of the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Regulation 2010, which would otherwise be repealed on 1 September 2015 by section 10 (2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. This Regulation prescribes the manner in which an application for a licence to carry on the business of a wool, hide and skin dealer is to be lodged with the Commissioner of Police. This Regulation is made under the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Act 2004, including sections 10 (4) and 43 (the general regulation-making power). This Regulation comprises or relates to matters set out in Schedule 3 to the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, namely matters of a machinery nature and matters that are not likely to impose an appreciable burden, cost or disadvantage on any sector of the public. Note. This Regulation replaces the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Regulation 2010, which would otherwise be repealed on 1 September 2015 by section 10 (2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. 3 Manner of lodging licence application For the purposes of section 10 (4) of the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Act 2004, delivering an application to a police station, or causing it to be delivered to a police station, is prescribed as the manner of lodging an application. 4 Repeal and savings (1) (2) The Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Regulation 2010 is repealed. Any act, matter or thing that, immediately before the repeal of the Wool, Hide and Skin Dealers Regulation 2010, had effect under that Regulation continues to have effect under this Regulation.
